My expression of gratitude to God for His infinite goodness is long overdue. The good that has been mine during the years has been manifold. My mother took up Christian Science when I was a small girl. I heard the doctor in the next room tell her that she would have to have a surgical operation within a week. She has never had that operation.

A neighbor brought her some copies of the Sentinel and reluctantly parted for a day or two with a copy of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. In less than a week my mother was up and doing her own work, and she was soon completely healed. That was over thirty-five years ago. She has been active in her home and church work ever since.

Immediately after my mother's healing I was enrolled in the Christian Science Sunday School, where I remained until I was twenty. I can never be grateful enough to God for the loving teachers and for the truths which they taught me.
