SPIRITUAL IDEAS BRING DAILY SUPPLIES

Christian Science gives us the spiritual meaning of the inspired Word of the Bible and reveals that it is able not only to heal our human ills, but also to solve all our human problems. Problems arise because we think of ourselves as persons separate from God, revolving in an orbit of our own, instead of as God's ideas, manifesting the one Mind. Jesus said (John 5:19), "The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do."

In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mary Baker Eddy writes (p. 275): "Divine metaphysics, as revealed to spiritual understanding, shows clearly that all is Mind, and that Mind is God, omnipotence, omnipresence, omniscience,—that is, all power, all presence, all Science. Hence all is in reality the manifestation of Mind." As we understand man's inseparability from God and accept this relationship as true for our real selfhood, we cannot fail to receive the abundance that God has to give.

Jesus himself was so imbued with the truth that God was his source of supply that he was able to produce the supply right at the moment, whether it was to meet an individual tax obligation or to feed a hungry multitude. Not only did Jesus trust supremely in God's loving care of His children, but he was continuously conscious of what God wanted him to do.
