GOD'S LAW OF HEALTH

There is an unchangeable and A eternal law of good. It recognizes no evil. It is the law of omnipotent Mind. This law is the will of God. It reveals His divine purpose, eternally manifesting Him in unchangeable goodness, perpetual harmony, abundant health, and unlimited energy.

Man, as God's reflection, is the lawful heir to all that God imparts. He is the full expression of divine Love and is perpetually governed by divine law. The proof of God's government is made manifest in human experience by the recognition of the infinite perfection of God and of man as His reflection. This proof appears as we understand and utilize the qualities of divine Principle and idea. This proof is made manifest by the abandonment of human will, false law, and material beliefs, and by our implicit trust in the divine law of Mind to sustain man forever in His likeness.

Our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, states in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 400), "Mortals obtain the harmony of health, only as they forsake discord, acknowledge the supremacy of divine Mind, and abandon their material beliefs." One forsakes discord by understanding that God's law of ever-active good is ever operative in his own experience. Realizing that true law emanates from divine Principle, or cause, and that the real man of God's creating is the evidence or effect of this cause, one understands that erroneous suggestions or material beliefs, claiming to be law, are powerless to interfere with the government of divine Truth, with the laws of divine Principle.
