FROM ANNUAL REPORTS OF CHRISTIAN SCIENCE COMMITTEES ON PUBLICATION

Maryland

"Christian Science involves a new language, and a higher demonstration of medicine and religion. It is the 'new tongue' of Truth, having its best interpretation in the power of Christianity to heal," wrote our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy (No and Yes, p. 44).

Nine stations in Maryland now broadcast each week the radio series "How Christian Science Heals;" and two stations presented a total of fifty-six programs as a public service feature, which means that they were given without cost to us. Four stations were added last January [1955] when the Mutual network was engaged to broadcast this series. On public service time thirty-six locally produced programs were presented this past committee year. Columbia's "Church of the Air" programs are carried by three CBS outlets in Maryland. Two Christian Science programs were heard over WBAL. Baltimore, in NBC's "Faith in Action" series.
