For years I have read the testimonies in the Sentinel and in The Christian Science Journal and have been uplifted. Now I think it is time to show my gratitude to Mary Baker Eddy for giving us her discovery of the wonderful truth which heals all our diseases, and I wish to tell of a healing I received.

A few years ago I had a nervous breakdown. I knew that Christian Science heals when rightly applied, but for three years I was not healed. Early one morning, while I was praying and asking God to show me the way out of the wilderness of confused thinking, the answer came: "Do something for someone less fortunate than yourself." I resolved that I would do so. At that very minute, when I was willing to be obedient and really live the truth by being unselfish, I was healed. I have been singing with joy and thanksgiving ever since.

My gratitude to God for Mrs. Eddy, His messenger to this age, is beyond words to express. I pray God that my daily life will show my gratitude.—(Mrs.) Lily Ellis, Shawnee, Oklahoma.
