THE SUSTAINING INFINITE

Mabel Stuart Curry

Each star, through ages in the sky,
Gives light in its appointed place,
And God holds us as steadfastly,
Sustained forever by His grace.

We need not fear, for with His Word
He nourishes eternally.
We rest in His encircling love—
His children, ever strong and free.
