RADIO PROGRAM No. 162 - Overcoming a Thirst for Alcohol

Speaker: In a moment you'll meet a woman who used to be addicted to alcohol. She has come to tell you how she conquered this trouble, how she found a richer, more satisfying way of life, a peace and happiness she'd never known before. This healing took place almost twenty years ago, and now our guest devotes her time to the practice of Christian Science. I'd like you to meet Mrs. Vivian Susiene from Pasco, Washington.

We're so grateful that you were willing to be with us today, Mrs. Susiene, and we know that your experience will bring help and encouragement to many. Please tell us about it.

Mrs. Susiene: For ten years I drank heavily, at times drinking steadily for days. On two occasions I even had the horrible nightmares which people associate with alcoholism in its advanced stages.
