My first testimony appeared in the Sentinel in 1931. Since then I have had so many proofs of God's loving care that I wish again to express my heartfelt gratitude for the many blessings that have come to me through the continuous study and application of Christian Science.

A physical disorder developed from an injury I had sustained several years previously. The disorder caused a great deal of pain and discharge. I worked earnestly and prayerfully, as we are taught in Christian Science, to realize my freedom.

The first lines of the poem "Feed My Sheep" by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy (Poems, p. 14), were continually with me. Also with me was the Bible verse (Ps. 46:1), "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." I had help from practitioners at different times and gainedsome freedom from the pain, but I did not have a complete healing.
