When Christian Science found...

When Christian Science found me, I was struggling to find a God who I could love and understand. After visits to various churches, I was taken to hear a Sunday service in a Church of Christ, Scientist. It was to my hungry thought as though I had heard the words (Isa. 30:21), "This is the way, walk ye in it." The love I feel for the friend who first took me to that church can never be fully expressed.

I joined the Sunday School, and I loved every minute of my attendance there, a privilege now enjoyed by our two daughters. For over twenty-five years I have felt that I could say in the words of a hymn (Christian Science Hymnal, No. 64), "My heart is singing: I have found the way." Through the study of Christian Science I have learned that the only real satisfaction in our human experience is to love God supremely and to know Him as All. As we do so, much good unfolds in our everyday life.

We have had many wonderful healings in our family. Bright's disease, lumbago, acute congestion of the lungs, and so-called children's diseases are some of the conditions that have been healed. Harmonious childbirth has been experienced, and the effects of severe burns and other accidents have been overcome. These healings have all come either through our own understanding or with the help of a practitioner.
