The Christian Science healings...

The Christian Science healings I have witnessed are too numerous to mention, as I have had Science in my home since childhood. I should like to tell of the healing of a goiter. This healing may be of help to someone who is tempted, as I was, to become discouraged and downhearted. In spite of all the wonderful proofs I had had of the efficacy of Christian Science, when this ugly growth began to appear, I became frightened.

I studied faithfully, but still the goiter grew larger. It became necessary to have my dresses enlarged at the neckline, and I was conscious of the fact that people were looking at the condition. Every time I dressed I looked anxiously to see if it was diminishing. I felt that I was a very poor representative of Christian Science, and at one time I was confronted on all sides with the suggestion that I should have an operation.

During this period of temptation I was suddenly stricken with double pneumonia. A practitioner and a Christian Science nurse were called. This nurse had at one time been a medical nurse, but had come into Science after she had been healed of cancer. She told the practitioner that if I had not had Christian Science I could not have lived through the night, as my heart had become affected. Her loving assistance and the work of the practitioner were all that was necessary to bring forth a healing. By morning I was free from the pneumonia, and in two days I was able to take care of my household duties without help.
