RADIO PROGRAM No. 99 - God Can Help You in Every Emergency

On this program Mrs. Elsie C. Chapman of Seattle, Washington, told of her own experience, as follows:

This happened one morning a few years ago. I went out into my back yard and found what I thought to be mushrooms. I picked them and had them fried for lunch. About an hour later I was walking to catch the bus to go in town to my office when I began to experience a very peculiar feeling in my legs. I boarded the bus, and in a few minutes my eyes began to close. Desire to sleep seemed overpowering. I could hardly force myself to stay awake.

I realized that something serious was taking place, and I remembered the mushrooms, and it dawned on me that what I had thought to be mushrooms actually had been poisonous toadstools. Later this was confirmed. As a Christian Scientist I knew that I could rely on God; so right then I turned to God for help, remembering that He is eternal Life, the only Life there is, and therefore my true Life.
