RIGHT THINKING BRINGS ABUNDANT LIVING

"GOD'S thoughts are perfect and eternal, are substance and Life," Mary Baker Eddy tells us on page 286 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." As we accept this truth, we perceive that because God is infinite Spirit, there is but one substance. Real substance is not material, it is spiritual. Perfect and eternal thoughts are substance. Hence right thinking is evidenced in abundant living.

Christ Jesus' understanding of the spiritual nature of substance gave him unlimited power; made his healing work divinely natural and instantaneous. He walked on the water; he fed the multitudes; he paid taxes from the fish's mouth; he healed the sick and sinning. The blind saw, the dumb spake, the dying were awakened to life.

Jesus acknowledged no power, presence, action, or law but that of divine Mind. He understood that Mind and its reflection constitute the only substance. This understanding identified him as the Christ. Jesus never identified himself or another as mortal. He knew man as immortal reflection, as the son of God.
