"THE MEDITATION OF MY HEART"

In the Bible we read this prayer (Ps. 19:14): "Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer." Just what kind of words are acceptable to God? Surely they include words of wisdom, words which encourage and uplift others. What kind of thoughts or meditations are constructive and acceptable? Thoughts of love, which are pure, peaceful, joyous, and fearless.

On page 210 of "The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany" Mary Baker Eddy tells us: "There is no door through which evil can enter, and no space for evil to fill in a mind filled with goodness. Good thoughts are an impervious armor; clad therewith you are completely shielded from the attacks of error of every sort. And not only yourselves are safe, but all whom your thoughts rest upon are thereby benefited."
