PRAYER FOR UNFOLDMENT

O God , I thank Thee for the glowing warmth
Of Thy dear love that gently opens wide
The petals of my life to fuller bloom:
My heart, a chalice to receive, enfolds
And at a prompting touch from Thee pours forth
Thy joy, Thy loving-kindness, and Thy peace.

Oh, may my life, a fragrant flower, unfold,
To grace the garden where Thy loved ones dwell,
To shed a radiance, pure, with healing love,
And gracious, tender comfort of Thy truth;
To brighten paths wherein my brothers tread
That they may of Thy joy and strength receive.

This is my prayer, as daily I go forth
To do Thy bidding where Thou leadest me.
