TRUSTING GOD

[Of Special Interest to Young People]

What joy and comfort are ours when we trust God to guide us. The Bible tells us (James 4:8), "Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you."

That God is our Father-Mother, comforting, guiding, and strengthening us, is proved by the healing work being accomplished by Christian Scientists through the recognition and understanding of God's perfection and of His perfect spiritual creation. Christian Scientists are demonstrating the peace and holiness of omnipotent Soul, Spirit; the tenderness and care of divine Love; the wisdom and strength of infinite Mind, Principle.

Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, writes in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 428), "The great spiritual fact must be brought out that man is, not shall be. perfect and immortal." And elsewhere she says (ibid., p. 467), "Having no other gods, turning to no other but the one perfect Mind to guide him, man is the likeness of God, pure and eternal, having that Mind which was also in Christ."
