THE INEVITABLE JOURNEY

It were well for mankind if they more fully realized that God loves His children and is satisfied with His creation. It is our inescapable task to learn what we truly are and to prove it in our lives. Eventually, here or hereafter, every individual must spiritually discern and demonstrate his true selfhood as the image and likeness of God. Truth compels us to put off the old man of fleshly beliefs and actively, consciously, to express the qualities of divine Mind. This is each one's inevitable journey out of the belief of sentient matter into the harmony and immortality of life in Soul, God.

In her discovery. Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy has given to the world the way whereby it may break through the so-called barriers of time and sense and discern reality in and of Spirit. Mankind owe Mrs. Eddy a debt of gratitude that is not yet generally recognized. Her followers, who have so richly benefited from her unselfish devotion, may make partial payment through undeviating loyalty to her entire teaching, translated—unadulterated—into daily living.

Christian Science teaches that in Christ, the divine idea of sonship, is found the true identity of every individual. This accords with the statement made in John concerning the Christ, which Jesus so fully exemplified (1:9), "That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world."
