Christian Science came into my life more than twenty-eight years ago, and it has certainly been a pearl of great price to me. Through the years I have had many healings, both physical and mental, and have experienced divine protection.

One outstanding physical healing was that of a cyst on the side of my neck. As it increased to many times its original size, this ugly formation was plainly visible, and it was very disturbing to me. Loving help was given by practitioners at various times. Discouragement tried to enter my consciousness, but I earnestly endeavored to realize my oneness, or unity, with the Father, and the absolute nothingness of the material picture. I daily studied Mrs. Eddy's answer to the question, "What is man?" which she gives us in Science and Health. Especially helpful were these words (p. 475): "Man is not matter; he is not made up of brain, blood, bones, and other material elements." This statement from the same page was also helpful: "Man is idea, the image, of Love; he is not physique." As I continued my earnest study the cyst finally opened and drained, and in a few days the healing was complete.

I am humbly grateful to the practitioner who helped me make this demonstration of healing. Also I am very grateful for the spiritual uplift I received during the trying experience. Christian Science has taught me the real meaning of gratitude, and it has also helped me to understand the Bible better than ever before. Mrs. Eddy's writings have made the words and works of Christ Jesus much clearer to me.
