RADIO PROGRAM No. 78 - A Child Made Free of Affliction

On this program Mrs. Courtney C. King of Tulsa, Oklahoma, told of her own experience, as follows:

When our son was about two months old, it became apparent that he was not developing properly. He was unable to lift his head or control himself, and his chest and spine were deformed. A medical diagnosis was that he would probably never be able to sit up, and the doctor said that medical science knew no cure.

My husband and I had just begun the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and so we turned unreservedly to Christian Science. We bought a Concordance to Science and Health and looked up and studied every passage that contained the words "strength" and "control." When we would become discouraged at times, as this condition persisted month after month, we would ask the help of a Christian Science practitioner. Although there was no change in the baby's condition, we were studying and learning more of God and man daily and were having many other healings in our family.
