My heart is overflowing with gratitude to God for our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who devotedly consecrated her life to acquaint mankind with Christian Science, the final revelation of Truth. Many times I have been blessed and encouraged by the testimonies in our periodicals. This testimony is shared in the prayerful hope that it too may bless.

In the Bible we read (Josh. 24:15), "Choose you this day whom ye will serve." Sometimes to the student of Christian Science comes the sly suggestion: "Suppose you were critically ill, then what? Would you rely on God to heal?" In our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mrs. Eddy writes (p. 167), "Only through radical reliance on Truth can scientific healing power be realized." In any event and under all circumstances, regardless of the spiritual elevation of our understanding, divine Love is present with the healing Christ, Truth, to see us through our problem. The following experience will illustrate this fact.

My mother, who at one time had been a medical nurse, found me alone and almost unconscious from severe pain. In her anxiety and loving desire to do good she telephoned both a Christian Science practitioner and a doctor. The doctor arrived first and gave a verdict of a serious kidney condition. He further urged an immediate operation, the outcome of which he could not foretell.
