Having received many blessings from Christian Science, I feel that I must at last give public expression to my gratitude in the hope that someone else may find the joy and health which have come to me through the study and application of this Science.

About four years ago I found myself paralyzed from the waist down and partially paralyzed elsewhere by what was diagnosed as polio. I was terrified by the progress of this disease, for at that time I knew little of the healing, recuperative, and regenerative power of Life, Truth, and Love. My wife, who was a student of Christian Science, lovingly nursed me in my hour of great need. It was to her religion that I now turned for help.

The light of Christ, Truth, was brought daily to my bedside by a loving and alert practitioner, who stood fast in the truth in that darkest hour. My progress was slow at first, but there were many joyous lessons to learn along the way. The understanding that God loved me as an individual and that my existence was of importance to Him, the recognition of the certainty of the healing power of Christian Science, and the practitioner's splendid example of faithfulness and consecration, were of the utmost help to me. Also the many evidences of kindness expressed by my wife's loving friends in the branch church, of which I was then not even a member, were of great encouragement. As each of the lessons was learned, a greater degree of freedom was demonstrated, and in due course I returned to full employment. My healing has been permanent.
