Words cannot express my deep...
Words cannot express my deep gratitude to God for the revelation of Truth given to mankind by our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. I have found that where the seed has been sown it must bear fruit.
Many years ago my family spent a winter in California. One night my son was taken very ill. With great fear I went to the home of a woman living nearby and asked if she knew where I could get a doctor. She said that she did not, but that she was a Christian Scientist, and she asked if I would let God heal my son. I said that I would, and she telephoned a practitioner, who came within a short time and prayerfully worked for the child. In less than half an hour my son was sleeping peacefully, and when he awoke he was well,
After that I started attending the Wednesday testimony meetings in a Church of Christ, Scientist, and the woman who had introduced us to Science took my son to the Christian Science Sunday School. When we returned to Canada, however, we went back to our own church and forgot about the experience. When my son was eighteen years old, I was suddenly held in bondage to a heart condition. Doctors said that I would never lead an active life again, and I was kept in bed nearly all day, filled with fear and feeling very sorry for myself. One afternoon while my son was visiting in the home of a friend he was led to mention my condition. His friend's mother listened silently. Then she asked my son if he would take the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and ask me to study it and accept the truth in it. She said that if I did, I would be healed. As soon as I saw Science and Health I recalled with joy the healing of my son in California. I read the textbook day and night, constantly gaining strength, courage, and freedom. In two weeks' time I was completely healed. I have never had a return of the heart trouble, and I have led a normal, active life.
