For many years I have enjoyed the blessings of Christian Science. My study and application of this beautiful truth has to a great extent replaced fear with confidence, sickness with health, sorrow with joy.

One of my first healings was that of chronic catarrh, for which I had received medical treatment from our family physician for some time. Then I consulted a specialist who recommended an operation. But when I asked him if that would cure the condition, he could not promise that it would; so I decided to wait. When Christian Science was presented to me, it appeared to be such a comforting and satisfying religion that I began to study it. I do not know just when the healing of catarrh took place, but as I gained some knowledge of the truth concerning God and man, the catarrh disappeared.

Another healing was that of pain in my feet, due to metatarsal trouble. Because of this condition I had for some time had difficulty buying shoes I could wear, and since my work required that I stand most of the time, the problem was very trying indeed. Prayerful work was done, but the trouble continued. Then at a time when I was doing no specific work on this problem, but was earnestly desiring and endeavoring to gain a better understanding of God and man, I suddenly realized that the trouble had entirely disappeared. I even wore shoes that I had laid aside, and I felt comfortable in them.

I was left with two small daughters to support, and the thought of earning a living and educating my daughters presented a big problem. Previously I had taught school awhile; but I had had little training, and the requirements had since been raised. However, the way opened for me to go to college and afterward enter the teaching profession. I had to learn that God is the source of our supply, and as I learned this truth, our needs were met. I am very grateful to all who have helped me along the way, especially the friend who lived the truth so beautifully that I was led to find out what Christian Science is. Most of all I am grateful to God, the Giver of all good, for our Way-shower, Christ Jesus, and for our Leader, Mrs. Eddy. Class instruction has blessed me on my way.—(Mrs.) Grace J.
