NO STOPPAGE IN MIND

Through her discovery of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy proved that the Christ, the power which evidences the presence of God, is always at hand to meet every discordant condition of human existence. Because of its unceasing activity, the Christ is available to dissolve and to prevent every condition of stoppage or inaction in body, home, business, or in any situation. To prove this the Christian Scientist must be willing to accept and to maintain consistently certain basic truths of Christian Science.

Here are a few of them. God, divine Mind, is the only creator and the source of all action. Mind's creation is perfect and is governed by divine law and order. God's creation is wholly spiritual and consists of unchanging and unchangeable spiritual ideas, which dwell in Mind in perfect relationship with each other. These ideas cannot be touched by sickness, inaction, over-action, stoppage, delay, or any abnormal condition of human existence. All movement and relationship in Mind's universe are in accord with Christ, with the unerring power and direction of omnipotent Truth and Life and Love.

But there is more to understand than these basic truths if one wishes to overcome the beliefs of abnormality and stoppage. One must recognize that in human existence one's body, home, business, and environment are the evidence of the thoughts which one entertains of them. Rigid muscles, stagnant human conditions, unprogressive homes, are not realities. They are false beliefs held by those individuals who have been deceived by the evidence of the material senses.
