DESIRE IS PRAYER
When
in the stillness of the night,
Dear Lord, I think of Thee—
Thy precious love, Thy truth and light,
Enfolding me,
I know that all the world is Thine,
Held in Thy hand secure;
No darkened thought of hate and strife
Can in Thy sight endure.
Thy children's prayers for peace ascend
And in pure strength unite;
Eternally Thy word abides:
"Let there be light."
