I should like to express my gratitude for the many blessings that have come to me through the study and application of Christian Science. Chronic constipation, from which I had suffered since infancy, was overcome by my reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.

Other healings in our home which came with the help of a practitioner were those of influenza during the epidemic of 1918, neuralgia, and colds. All these conditions were overcome within a short time. At one time while I was ill, hemorrhage of the lungs set in. My mother called a practitioner, who said, '"Remember, blood is not her life—God is her Life." The hemorrhage stopped immediately. Before long I was all right again, and subsequently the doctor for an insurance company pronounced me in splendid health. For this demonstration of God's healing power, I am extremely grateful.

My mother contracted a condition believed to be erysipelas. Inflammation of the face caused so much pain that she was delirious. On my arrival home from work one Saturday noon she did not recognize me. I immediately called a practitioner, who came and stayed with us several hours. Mother fell asleep for about three hours and then awakened rational. Later the discordant condition disappeared, and no blemish was left on her face. It was a wonderful healing, and we were entirely free from fear, a fact for which we were very grateful.
