Christian Science came into my life a number of years ago, and I submit this testimony with a deep sense of gratitude and a desire to help others. My first healing was that of chronic bowel and stomach trouble. This healing was an instantaneous one. Over a long period of time, in almost every instance of physical difficulty, health was quickly restored.

However, a number of years ago, after a series of distressing events, I suffered a physical breakdown while I was at a little summer home in the mountains. Absent treatment was asked for and lovingly given. Much loss of weight and lack of sleep filled me with fear and discouragement. For three months I was in bed, too weak to be about. It was necessary at the end of this time to go home and put my children in school. We made the trip of about four hundred miles by automobile, and after my arrival many long weeks of testing followed.

Mrs. Eddy tells us in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 177), "The evidence of divine Mind's healing power and absolute control is to me as certain as the evidence of my own existence." These lines were a great help to me, and I began to realize something of Mind's omnipotence. I learned that since Mind is infinite, it is the only power. As I clung steadfastly to these truths and to a sense of gratitude, not yielding to discouragement, I was strengthened and restored to complete health.
