SCIENTIFIC DEFINITION

Correct definitions are of the highest practical value in enabling one to meet and to solve successfully the various problems which present themselves in human experience. Such definitions are an indispensable aid in working from the standpoint of absolute spiritual perfection, as set forth in Christian Science.

Before the writer became interested in Christian Science, he had but a vague sense of the real nature of God and, consequently, of man. He had thought of Deity as a mysterious potentate, difficult if not impossible to approach, swayed by anger, partiality, repentance. However, through the revelation of Christian Science he learned to define God correctly as Life, Truth, and Love. False notions, one by one, faded from consciousness, and the substance and presence of the kingdom of heaven were discerned as intact and forever permanent.

So it was with the writer's concept of man. It became apparent to him that man can never be defined or classified as an aggregation of material molecules, for it was seen that man is actually the spiritual image or idea of God, Soul, Spirit.
