Many years ago I had occasion to consult a doctor about a growth on my neck. After an examination he told me it would be necessary for me to undergo an immediate operation. When I told my wife of this, she said: "Do not take one man's opinion about a matter of that sort. Consult a specialist." I did so, only to have the doctor's finding confirmed.
One evening two friends, students of Christian Science, were calling at our home. In the course of conversation I mentioned this condition. One of them asked, "Why not try Christian Science?"
I smiled incredulously and replied, "This is a case where an operation is indicated."
