I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science and for the great help it is in my life.

Some years ago while cycling to work, I was run into by a young man on a motorcycle. I was quite calm, although my bicycle and I were knocked down by the motorcycle. Somebody picked me up, and I silently repeated "the scientific statement of being," found on page 468 of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I heard a friend's voice and exclaimed, "Who sent you?" I was so glad to meet a friend among the many strangers that had gathered! It was to me a sign of God's care.

Looking at my watch, I saw that there was just time to get to my office. Some children were following me and looking very much amazed, as they could not understand how I could act as if nothing had happened. I turned and smiled at them, for I was inexpressibly grateful to God. Then I went to the office and worked there all day. There were no aftereffects, and some days later I realized that I had overcome the fear of traffic which some people feel after an accident.
