I want to express my gratitude for Christian Science and to testify to its healing power. What a glorious privilege it has been to have this law of God to guide and protect me all my life! I have never known am religion other than Christian Science.

I especially want to give thanks for the authorized periodicals that come to enlighten and inspire us. Their messages serve as angel thoughts in time of need. Some time ago I read in the Sentinel of someone who had been healed of warts through the study of the verse from the Bible (Matt. 15:13), "Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up." When severe pain in my back manifested itself one evening, this verse came to me. While pondering this promise and turning humbly to God in prayer I thought, "Why, certainly; since God doesn't know anything about pain, it shall be rooted out." I fell sound asleep and awoke the next morning entirely free.

Mrs. Eddy says in Science and Health (p. 16), "Only as we rise above all material sensuousness and sin, can we reach the heaven-born aspiration and spiritual consciousness, which is indicated in the Lord's Prayer and which instantaneously heals the sick." This was proved true in my experience by the healing of a severe cold. Line by line I studied the Lord's Prayer with its spiritual interpretation (ibid., pp. 16, 17) and tried to understand its meaning. I became so conscious of God's presence and power and was so expectant of manifesting them that I was instantaneously healed, and every symptom of the cold disappeared immediately.
