A growing awareness of my debt of gratitude for Christian Science prompts this testimony. An illness I suffered left me extremely weak and with a loss of appetite. In addition I felt unable to study. I asked for help from a practitioner, and my attention was directed to the current Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly, the subject of which was "Life." Of particular help were the words from Job (33:8), "Surely thou hast spoken in mine hearing, and I have heard the voice of thy words." This passage was a direct challenge to my thinking, as for several days I had been unable to hear. Staying constantly with this thought and rejoicing in its inspiration and message, in a few days I was able to prove the law of omnipotent Truth by a complete healing.

Through the application of the truth I have been healed quickly of oak poisoning, sunstroke, and the effects of an accident. These healings occurred during my period of training to be a Christian Science nurse. By applying the law of God, good, I was able to proceed without loss of time from my duties.

The constant good that has been evidenced since I became a student of Christian Science, the growth which results from church membership, and the inspiration gained from class instruction increase my desire to be of service in this Cause, to which our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, consecrated her life.—(Miss) Dorothy M.
