With deep humility and joy I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science, for what it has done for me and for what it is doing for the world. Through the study of the Bible and the writings of our inspired Leader, Mrs. Eddy, I have found much peace.

For years I felt that I could not leave the house without taking with me some remedy to dull the pain of frequent headaches. In addition I suffered from constipation, for which I had taken every medicine that I thought would bring relief. These and other chronic discomforts have fallen away as I have continued my study of Christian Science.

One of our Leader's hymns has often been of help to me. It begins (Poems, p. 79):
