Jesus once said, "You shall love the Lord your God will all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind" (Matt. 22:157) [Rev. Stand. Ver.].

If this means anything, it means that we are responsible to God for developing and using our minds. When we ignore the powers of reason and judgment which God has given us, and act on prejudice and emotion, we are not only damaging and endangering our democratic way of life, but also we are dishonoring God.
