Christian Science has been my only physician for many years. When a young girl I was privileged to be taken into a home where Christian Science was relied on.

My foster mother had the help of a practitioner for both herself and her little daughter. I early decided that God must be just as available to one as to another when prayed to with faith and expectancy. This truth has been substantiated many times in my experience. Throughout the years I have had occasion to test God's love and care and have never found them lacking when I have sincerely applied His laws.

As we lived in the mountains some distance from anyone else, I early learned to appreciate the security of God's help ever at hand for whatever difficulty. One day I was left alone in charge of the little girl. While she was at play a piece of glass flew into her eye. I got the Bible and read the ninety-first Psalm to her. By the time I had read it through, explaining it to her the best I knew, the glass had come out of her eye. I am grateful for this experience, not only because her eye was unhurt, but also because neither she nor I became frightened.
