Words cannot adequately express my gratitude to God. I would not be alive now if I had not found the truth of God and man. When Christian Science was presented to me in the year 1919, I was suffering from gallstones. A doctor had advised me to have an operation at once. I refused to do so and called a Christian Science practitioner, through whose prayerful work I was freed from my suffering.

With the passing of the years, however, I suffered again from the same trouble. At one time a neighbor called an ambulance, and two doctors came to take me to the hospital. I told them that God had helped me before and that He would help me again. I said, "God made man perfect, and as a child of God I reflect His perfection." The doctors went out, and I called for help from a Christian Science practitioner, again receiving relief from my suffering.

Then came a time when I went through deep waters. My husband was afflicted with dropsy in one leg, and because of conditions during World War II our son had to close his business and look for another position. In addition I began to suffer again from gallstones. I thought that I could not face all our problems. However, I had had class instruction, and my teacher encouraged me and was very good to me. As I thought about the cornerstone of Christ, Truth, the complete healing of the gallstones came. My gratitude for it is unbounded.
