It is with great joy and deep gratitude that I write my testimony. I was told by a physician that I could never have children and that to attempt to do so would prove fatal. This made my outlook on life so bleak that I became subject to melancholia.

Christian Science was then presented to me. I was assured that it heals and that all things are possible to God. I immediately took up the study of this Science, as it gave me my only hope of freedom, and called on a practitioner for help.

The chapter on Prayer in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy taught me the correct way to pray and helped me to understand what Jesus meant when he said (Matt. 6:6), "When thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly."
