I attended the Christian Science Sunday School from the time I was four years old until I was twenty. There I gained a knowledge of the truth, through which one is able to master every situation in life. I am deeply grateful when I recall the many healings and experiences which I have had. One of these healings particularly I should like to relate here.

During some rough play in school I broke a windowpane and cut my hand on the broken glass. In order to conform to insurance regulations a doctor was called. It was found that the tendon of my middle finger was cut through, and I was told that I would have to be operated on so that the tendon could be sewed together. I turned my thoughts in the right direction, knowing that God and His idea are forever unharmed. At the same time I asked a practitioner for help.
