With a grateful heart I wish to testify to the healings I have had through Christian Science. For twenty-four years I suffered from nervous prostration, indigestion, circulatory disturbances, and trouble with my feet. At times depression nearly robbed me of all desire to live. In addition, heart trouble set in, and I was taken to a hospital. For a whole year I was so unhappy that I prayed to die.

I found no healing at the hospital; rather, my condition grew worse. When I went home again, pain and weakness made it impossible for me to do any housework. I got a woman to take care of our household of two, and when she saw my condition she told me of Christian Science. Shortly afterward I went to a practitioner, who said she would work for me and advised me to read the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I did this at once with an honest and open heart.

Because of continuous and severe headaches, it was at first difficult for me to understand what I read, but one thing I grasped clearly: that God is All. On the second day of my reading the textbook I destroyed all my medicines in order to rely absolutely upon divine Love. As I daily studied Science and Health I learned to deny error, to realize the truth of being, and to give thanks for the ever-presence of God. With great joy I can state that after three months I was completely healed of all my ailments. In addition a long period of unemployment ended, proving that divine Love meets all our needs.
