LETTERS TO THE PRESS FROM CHRISTIAN SCIENCE COMMITTEES ON PUBLICATION

Herald Post

Herald Post El Paso, Texas

Your news coverage of the efforts of El Paso Christian Scientists to have certain city ordinances amended so as to provide legal religious exemption from public school compulsory vaccination and inoculations was both fair and impartial.

Apparently, the item in [a recent issue] headed "Church Group Continues Fight on Vaccination" was meant to correct the heading of the same news item in an earlier edition which read "Church Group Plans Suit Against Vaccination." In the corrected column, however, there appeared the statement, "El Paso Christian Scientists will ask each future City Council and Public Health Board to stop compulsory vaccination of school children."
