My gratitude for Christian Science...

My gratitude for Christian Science knows no bounds. It has led me from great confusion and unhappiness into a peace and serenity that at one time seemed impossible of attainment.

When I was eleven years old my mother and father were divorced, and I was taken from the home that I loved so much to that of relatives. From that time until I found Christian Science nothing was ever right. I tried going to different churches, but found little comfort in them and no specific directions as to how one could attain that peace and perfection so much talked about.

Although I had heard of Christian Science, I paid little attention to it until I was told that I should always have to wear glasses. To this ultimatum I objected. I made the most important decision of my life and went to a Christian Science practitioner. He agreed to help me and directed me to get a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I did so and began studying the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly. Soon the eye condition was corrected; and confusion, doubt, and anxiety fell away as I continued to hold to the truth.
