HOW CHRISTIAN SCIENCE HEALS March 27, 1954 Issue

RADIO PROGRAM No. 27 - How Can a Book Bring Healing?

The account of healing on this program was given by Mrs. Blanche C. Poynton of Gillitts, Natal, Union of South Africa, who said:

After the birth of my second child my health was greatly impaired. I had medical attention for nearly two years with no results, and finally my husband was advised by the doctors to take me to London to see a specialist.

After our arrival in London the specialist said an immediate organic operation was necessary. Otherwise, he was sure I would not live long and would probably always be an invalid. I was kept in the nursing home some days to build up my strength, and while waiting, a friend whom I had not seen for years called upon me and asked me to try Christian Science. I was too ill to inquire into its teaching and too afraid to trust something I knew nothing about. However, after the operation my condition became critical, and then I remembered her words and asked that I might have treatment from a Christian Science practitioner. The effect of this treatment was very marked, and there was enough improvement to allow me to return home, even though I was still quite ill.
