TAKE COURAGE
However
cloaked with fear
Or sad it may appear,
No physical event
Is reason to lament;
It is a battle to be won, not lost,
A darkly flowing river to be crossed.
No evil currents can remove
Your footsteps from the path of love
If you on sure foundations stand
On Spirit's truth—not shifting sand.
Where mortal whirlpools roar,
Hold to your faith the more;
And cross with winged feet.
For joy knows no defeat.
Whence having passed, you'll find
Step firmer, clearer mind,
Yourself more swift to bless with love.
More filled with light from God above.
