Truly, "to those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, Pref., p. vii). It is with deepest gratitude for all the blessings which have come to me day by day through Christian Science that I add my testimony.

Our family has had many proofs of God's care during the past few years, among them being those of our teen-age daughter's complete healing of rheumatic fever, the finding of a suitable home, and the solving of the problem of supply. The overcoming of unlovely traits of character, including the use of profanity, social drinking, and indulgence in idle gossip, have been gratifying signs of spiritual growth. However, the healing for which I am most grateful, and the one which has been my most progressive step Spiritward, was the overcoming of the smoking habit. Although I had been a student of Christian Science for some time, I was held in bondage by the argument that anything which gave me as much pleasure as smoking a cigarette need not be given up.

When I recognized man as the reflection of the Divine Being, coexisting with God and possessing only pure desires, complete freedom from the tobacco habit was attained. This unfoldment was followed by Mother Church membership and the blessing of class instruction.
