I CHANGE MY COURSE

I cannot walk alone. Though I should try
The flowery paths where seeming pleasures lie,
I know that I must change my futile course
To search the higher way for Love's design.
Sin-sick, I find at last a charted sign
Which reads, This is the Way. There Love awaits
To guide my faltering steps until I know
I cannot walk alone, though I should try.
