I am so truly grateful to God for Christian Science and for what it has done for me that I wish to give my testimony. My first healing was that of heart trouble, which had bothered me from childhood. The doctors had warned my mother that I should be kept very quiet. Hearing of Christian Science, I began to attend the Sunday School in the city where we were then living.

I early committed to memory "the scientific statement of being," which is found on page 468 of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Soon afterward, while hurrying along on an errand one day, I was taken with a painful heart attack. I stopped where I was and used the truths I had learned in "the scientific statement of being." All pain immediately left me, and from that day to this I have been entirely free from such attacks.

For many years I suffered from swollen feet. Comforting help followed my first visit to a Christian Science practitioner. I was also helped by this verse of Scripture (Ps. 18:33): "He maketh my feet like hinds' feet, and setteth me upon my high places." Later the condition was entirely healed when I became obedient to an admonition to refrain from voicing my difficulty to those with whom I came in contact. At the same time I was healed of fearing the possibility of lost friendship. I learned that when friendship is built upon the rock of Christ, Truth, it cannot be lost, but must be increased in the same manner as all other rightful joys.
