Splendid coverage was obtained in the state's newspapers. A clipping service to which we subscribed during the last four months of the Committee year reported one hundred and forty items on Christian Science published during that period. There were thirty-one articles on the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church [1952], thirty papers carrying a picture of the incoming President of The Mother Church, a total of ninety-five inches of copy devoted to this story. Two papers had stories which covered thirteen column inches in addition to the picture. The one hundred and nine other stories during this four-month period included editorials from The Christian Science Monitor, lecture stories, excerpts from the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly, and miscellaneous items, including Thanksgiving Day service reports and a sermonette prepared by this office.

We plan to continue the clipping service throughout the next year [1953], and all indications point to an increased number of news items being used in the newspapers of the state.
