RESPONSE

We need not wait all bindings to remove
To answer from earth's tomb to Christ's dear call.
Like Lazarus, we hear, we rise, we prove,
In spite of time or error's rock-ribbed wall,
The finity of all that forms the grave;
The lethargy of clay, the weight of tears;
The ritualistic trappings that enslave
Our conscious freedom—all the footless fears
Of those who watch with incredulity
This sure emergence. God, and God alone,
Beholds His Son. Christ speaks, proclaims man free,
Maintained in Life; in Mind forever known.

Remove the bindings, ye who put them there!
Death cannot hold, for Love is everywhere.
