LOVE WAITS TO BLESS

Material sense is seen to have no place
In that divine relationship of God and man
That each must try in humble way to trace
As thought awakes to pattern and to plan.
No interim between, no lack is here,
If faith and confidence be angel guides.
One glimpse of Truth will banish earthly fear
And show before they call that Love provides.
Can there be worldly place or power or gain
To equal Love's abundance freely given?
Who would not change beliefs of care and pain,
Walk freely then across the fields of heaven?

If this our choosing be, more than is sought
Will crown each effort on the upward way.
Marvel of transformation here is wrought,
Envisioned breadth of God's eternal day.
Substance no longer shadow, we may learn,
Spiritual heritage ours to possess.
What joy to know, as penitent we turn,
God ever is—Love only waits to bless.
