In deep gratitude to God for Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, as well as for Mrs. Eddy, our Leader, and her discovery of Christian Science, I should like to relate the following experiences.

Christian Science was first called to my attention over fifty years ago by two medical nurses with whom I had worked, both of whom had experienced its healing power. At that time I was suffering from what our family physician had diagnosed as diabetes. Acting upon the advice of the two nurses, I went to see a Christian Science practitioner, who talked to me and gave me some Sentinels to read. After a few days I purchased the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and began to study. With the help of the practitioner, and through my own study, I was completely healed.

The next outstanding healing I experienced was that of pernicious blood poisoning, which started in the palm of the hand and affected the whole side of my body. As my family was not interested in Christian Science, the practitioner whom I asked for help took me into her home and cared for me. After ten days the hand drained, and at the end of a month I regained full use of it. My side also became normal.
