GOD'S PROTECTION AND GUIDANCE

Throughout the Bible we find many instances where individuals gained release from all kinds of difficulties and dangers when the one in need turned wholeheartedly to God and steadfastly relied upon Him for protection and guidance. Those people of today who are seemingly overburdened with unrest and uncertainties would do well to turn to the Bible for guidance and receive from the inspired writings the assurance of God's loving care.

One of the greatest examples of the protecting power of divine Love is found in Exodus. It is related that when the children of Israel were fearful regarding the dangers besetting their path, Moses, their great leader, said (14:13), "Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day." The overthrowing of their bondage to the Egyptians was a glorious page in the history of the children of Israel and proved that evil has no power to obstruct or interfere with those who trustingly accept God's government.

Mary Baker Eddy perceived that God produces and preserves all that is real. Through her discovery of Christian Science she was able to assure her followers that fear, sin, sorrow, sickness, lack, and all forms of error are the outcome of personal sense and that a realization of the true nature of man as Mind's individualized idea, never separate for one moment from God, destroys these erroneous beliefs.
